Born and raised in Jerusalem, Yael Goodman began leading tours following her service as a commander in the IDF. She eventually became a trainer for one of Israel’s leading tour guide courses and a Ministry of Tourism licensing examiner for new guides. In 2019, Yael founded RUN JLM running tours in Jerusalem, which combines her love for Jerusalem, guiding and running. Yael currently guides walking tours in Jerusalem and is continuing to develop her business. Yael will be leading Shabbat tours at the start and the end of the board visit and will be accompanying the board on Sunday and Tuesday.
Born and raised in Jerusalem, Eli Ilan has always had a passion for history, storytelling, and people. Following many years in the world of Jewish education and peoplehood (as a Jewish Agency emissary at Hillel, program director for Masa Israel, and project manager for the Schusterman Foundation), he was certified as a tour guide by the Ministry of Tourism. Eli is also a trained group dynamics facilitator by BINA: The Jewish Movement for Social Change, and is currently completing his studies as a personal life coach with the Adler Institute, as well as a master’s degree in history. Eli loves sharing the stories, views, diversity, food, and culture of Israel with tourist groups and individuals from all over the world to create fun, thought-provoking and inspirational experiences. He also enjoys running (and giving running tours!), hiking, good books, music, food, people, and dogs.
